Getting ready for this Saturday's Sidewalk Sale Extravaganza!

This Saturday I have been invited to participate in what's called a "Sidewalk Sale Extravaganza" in Barberton, OH. My favorite little store, Alter'd Relics, is hosting it and I can only imagine how much fun this will be! The store owners, Pam and Arica are so much fun to be around!

There will be six Artisan's there, including myself, that bring their goods to Alter'd Relics to sell. It will give us a chance to talk to customers and talk about our work. It's also a chance for me to sell the few things I have left in the store, I only have a few things left from all of the items I brought so I have been busy working on a few new things to sell as well. Today I was working on another lace shade to sell, had it all done but decided it needed to get a grungy coffee staining. So I stained it, it looked great, but then I decided to put it in the dryer on the drying rack just to hurry the process. Well, I think the shade was too tall cuz what I heard when I turned the dryer on was not pretty. It wasn't in there 10 seconds before I shut it off. My shade was twisted, torn, and broke......and it was turning out so cute! Tomorrow I will get my things priced and if I have time I'll make another one, this time I will coffee stain the lace BEFORE I see it on the skeleton! I will show a tutorial on how I made it in a future post. Besides the few things I've been making, it also gives me another chance to purge things out of my own house!

So, my chairs have been put on hold until next week. But when Pam saw the deconstructed chairs I have been working on she wanted me to bring them to sell! Really, I want them for myself, but once I get mine done I will be looking for a new one to deconstruct for resale.

You will remember this bed that I restored, you can read about that HERE, it has been sitting in the store all these months! We really can't understand why no ones bought it. Lots of interest, but that's it. The price is good at $275.00, down from $350.00. But that's as low as it will go. Let's hope we find a wonderful home for this beauty this weekend. If not, Pam said she'd pull it back in the store until someone falls in love with it:)
