World travelers:)

I have been so preoccupied lately that I haven't had time to work on anything. I have been thinking a lot lately about tweeking my master bedroom and bath a bit. But I can't even think about painting or sewing anything at this time because of the upcoming holidays and all that ensues. And my preoccupation with a couple of trips my husband and I are taking.

Tomorrow we leave for Banff, in Canada, and we will be spending five days there. My husband has been there before on business and he promised me that I would be going with him on his next visit. I have been looking forward to this trip for some time, the motel we will be staying in  is amazing and I can't wait to see it in person. And the scenery.......

The Banff Springs Hotel is a luxury hotel that was built during the 19th century as one of Canada's grand railway hotels, being constructed inScottish Baronial style and located inBanff National ParkAlberta, Canada. It looks like a castle nestled in the Canadian Rockies with a breathtaking view.

When we get home we will have a couple of days rest, get ready for Thanksgiving and then prepare for another trip we have planned.

So, I have been busy gathering warm clothes to take on both trips. I raided Marshall's at the beginning of the season and bought several tunic sweaters to wear with leggings. Gloves, scarves etc. it's going to be -0 in Banff. Since both will be cold and/or rainy. I've also been researching and hunting for water-resistant/warm/comfortable/stylish boots for lots and lots of walking! That will be the most important thing....warm dry feet, no matter the cost. I think I've found them.

Uggs, there isn't a warmer boot......anywhere. These are sturdy, have rubber soles to avoid slipping and these sheepskin boots are completely fur lined:)

These will work

I also needed a warm, water-resistant coat for our second trip. And I wanted a long maxi, to help keep my legs warm and dry. Everything that I was seeing online was so expensive so I decided to hit the thrift store. Voila' I found THE perfect maxi, water-proof, hooded Trench coat and it was 50% off yellow ticket day so I got my coat for 5 smackaroos!! Yup, $5.00 and what were my chances of finding it in a PETITE?!? It was meant to be:)

My little boots cost a chunk of change but I figured I saved about $145.00 on this coat!! Win win!

So, I am hoping I will be posting via wherever we are at, at any given time. I have to find out if my iPhone or iPad will work outside the US. I hope so, I would love to share all of this with you.

Stay tuned:)
