Pantry progress......

Here is the progress we've made on our DIY pantry

This is the before picture, two pieces house food and what not

This room is small, 8' x 7', but perfect size for a cute little pantry.

First we hung two sheets of bead board

Then I primed it with two coats of primer

Then two coats of paint

Hanging the brackets was the part I most worried about! Measure twice or three times......cut once!! We did an awesome job. Typically, this would be where we screw up, but together my hubby and I can do this:) I was the one who kept telling him to hang the bracket "short side down"! Haha, taking your time is key for this DIY team:)

And there you are, beautiful pantry shelves!!

Today I will be busy filling all of the holes in the brackets. They came with those little wooden plugs but I don't like the looks of them, I think it cheapens the look, so I will fill and sand them. Then, of course, touch up painting.

The base cupboard

We have a few pieces to add to the front, the apron boards, and since the lumber store was closed this weekend we have to go tonight and find a top for the base.

So I will finish up the minor details and finish the top when we get it, then my pantry will be finished!

    1. Thank you Kim, yes, this area is typically the laundry room right off the kitchen. I am using it just for a pantry and I can't wait until it's finished! I am waiting to finish the top then we can put it on the lower cabinet.
