My finished pantry:)

A fellow blogger recently said,"Good things come to those who wait," and if you follow me you'll know that is a quote I use frequently.

At long last, the pantry is finished, a vision I had when building this house. It's nothing fancy, it's just what I wanted. I must say that the hubby and I make a pretty good team, with my visions and his math skills and use of power tools we do a pretty good job!

If I were to combine total time it took us to get to this point I would say two full days to build it. You know I spent a week painting the boards and brackets, and once we got it up I had to fill all the screw holes, and those took two days to dry so I could sand them down. All in all, it took a week to do everything, on our schedule. It actually took longer to paint, fill holes, touch up, and poly everything then it did to put it together.

I gave everything a final coat today and now I wait, I need to let the paint and poly "cure" before I can start putting it to good use.

But what's another week when you've been waiting for 8 years!

I will post another picture once I get everything put away.

What do you think?

Did you use paneling or actual bead board...the tongue & groove kind? It looks nice.
