When I feel overwhelmed with all the things I have to do, my solution is to start making a "to do" list. Numbering them from one to however many projects I have, it gives me an idea of exactly what I have to do, and I get so much satisfaction from crossing something off the list when it's completed. And as silly as it sounds, it gives me motivation to start cracking!
It's time I make another "to do" list, I am starting to feel overwhelmed again. School is out for summer and that means that my time will be spread just a little thinner now that I will be on call to watch the grand kids while their parents are working. I love that job though, I can just forget everything and enjoy being a grandma:)
But summer also means that my list of things to do is growing, now that the weather is nice people get in the mood for change and I get hired to paint the interiors of their homes. I have several clients now waiting for me to make time for them.
Summer also means I get busier painting, refinishing, or repurposing all my flea market finds, I have several projects that I purchased last weekend that I can't wait to get started on. I'm not even going to post pictures until I'm ready to start them........you could be waiting awhile for the "after" shots!
I think this is why my summers seem to fly by so quickly, it is such a busy time for me. Not all of these jobs and projects are time consuming, I have a lot of little things that I need to do as well, so it just seems like a ton!
So, tomorrow I will make my list and get started crossing things off...........just to start another list!
Are you a list maker?
Before I go, I want to share a picture that Alter'd Relics posted on their Facebook page. Alter'd Relics is the cutest little shop that sells vintage/antique furniture and home decor, it's also the shop where I take just some of the things I paint or make or whatever! They grouped a lot of my things together and took this picture featuring Restored Treasures Too, I was thrilled when I saw it:)
I just had to share, they do such a wonderful job of making my furniture and lampshades look great!
