Antique linen and lace valances

You all know by now that I love antique or vintage lace. A few years ago, as I was perusing local antique mall, I found these beautiful valances! They are made from linen with antique lace trim, wonderfully aged with an ecru color that I love. At the time, I was looking for something to top my master bath windows, but couldn't find anything I liked. I was sure I would end up making something, like I always do when I can't find what I want. I was over the top excited when I found these, and they fit perfectly.......what luck!

I made the tiers using a crisp white vintage tablecloth, so I wanted something old for the valances too. The color didn't matter to me that it didn't match, I just wanted the look of something old and that's exactly what I got.

I love the linen used to make them and the intricacy of the lace that is so visible on a dreary day and so light and airy on a warm sunny day:)

Another thing I love about them, they were only $10.00 for both:)
