Painting on windows

Years ago I was asked by a little shop owner in Fredricksburg, OH, if I could paint on old windows. She had a bunch that she wanted to repurpose in some way, if I could paint something on them she would sell them in her shop. I'd never painted on glass before but thought it was an interesting idea, the frame was already there! I don't remember how many windows she gave me, but it was a bunch!

Her shop was for the primitive decorator, and I not only sold my stuff to her to sell, but I was a regular customer! I chose a bunch of different Folk Art scenes after doing a little research, all of which would sell to someone who had a primitive home.

It was fun, I love painting things like this. It was very easy but you do have to make sure you put a coat of water based poly on the back to protect the paint and keep it from being scratched or peeling.

These were just a few that I took pictures of, I love Folk Art, simple and innocent.
