Ready to dress up my pillows!

What is it about getting your hair done? Every time I leave the salon I feel like I could take on the world, I feel that good! My daughter does such a good job, I'm glad she decided to be a hair stylist, I am very lucky to have someone so talented do my hair. I feel normal again:)

And to make things even better, it was 30 degrees out today and the sun was shining brightly. It  felt so good to be out and about, I have been house bound for too long, so it was double bonus for me! On the way home I stopped at Joann's Fabrics to get the rest of the supplies to finish my pillows. I wanted to get some fabric flowers and some rhinestone buttons to add to the vintage and antique lace, just to dress them up a bit. It's been a long time since I've shopped for buttons and let me tell you I had sticker shock! I was disappointed when I found exactly what I wanted and they were $13.00..........for one button! I needed two. The fabric flowers were more than I wanted to spend also, $6.99.....really? Just for one flower. So, it took me a little longer to shop than I'd planned as I scoured the store looking for something more affordable. I found an end cap that had embellishments for knit hats, I decided they would work so I picked one of those up at 50% off, I think it cost me $2.00. I also found a card of two "buttons" in the jewelry isle that I hope will work, that were only $3.99. I also picked up a spool of cream ribbon just in case I could use it. I am amazed at how much items like this cost, it will be worth it for me to try and make my own flowers. I will give it a shot tomorrow as I dress these pillows up. I will be keeping my eyes open at the antique shops, ebay, and flea markets for vintage brooches if I plan on making more!

This is all I could come up with!

I will post pictures tomorrow of the finished pillows.
