Taking the time to enjoy the Christmas season!

Where does the time go??? I had planned on getting so much done today, and although I did get a lot accomplished, I still didn't get to where I wanted to be. This is the first day since Friday that I have been home a full day, so I haven't had the chance to get a lot done, other than normal everyday things. I really wanted to finish up with my Christmas decorating today but that didn't happen, maybe tomorrow:) I was freaking out a little before Thanksgiving, wondering how I was going to get everything done with that week lost, but one of my wonderful readers reminded me that I needed to take a chill pill and enjoy everything about Christmas (thanks Nancy:) Soooo, I put everything else aside and have been enjoying my Christmas shopping, wrapping presents, going to Christmas programs and all those wonderful things that you do this time of year. I love Christmas and everything that goes along with it and, like everyone else, I get caught up in what should be done instead of enjoying what this holiday is all about. There are so many festivities that go on in and around this area during Christmas that I have always wanted to do and we need to start taking the time to do a few of them. Just today, my husband surprised me and bought tickets to go see Chris Isaak's Christmas concert at the Kent Theater tomorrow night! I am super excited about that cuz I love Chris Isaak:) We need to start taking the time for Christmas and sometimes we need to be reminded that it just doesn't matter........ what needs to get done, will get done.

For those of you waiting too see my finished French chair, I apologize:( I did work on it today and I am hoping to get it completed tomorrow. I love how it's looking so far and I'm excited to share pictures with you!

So today I finished up all of my gift wrapping, did a little more decorating, picked up the house, threw some laundry in, did Lesson #9 of my computer class, made a huge pot of home made chicken and rice soup, showered and threw on my footie pj's (cuz it's crazy cold here in Ohio.......... I know, I know, it's not as cold as it is in my home state of Iowa, but it's cold for here!) and as soon as I'm done writing this post I'm going to call it a night and hunker down with my hubby and have a hot bowl of soup and maybe a glass of wine!

Take the time to enjoy the holidays!
