The tree skirt is under the tree and the mantle is decorated!

Before you see my decorated fireplace mantle I wanted to show you my Christmas tree skirt! I love how it turned out, now I can start loading it up with presents!

The tree is a little sparce so I am going to make some ornaments for it today! I took all my red ones away and this is what I have left.........not much! My granddaughter even asked why the tree was so bare!

My decorated mantle, I found these trees on the shopping spree I did when my friends were here for a visit. I bought the pinecone picks last year when they were 70% off and the glassware all came from the second hand shop. My wonderful silver trophy came from my favorite antique/second hand shop! Note the triangular scarves..........they are scraps from the mattelasse coverlet that I made the tree skirt out of! And of course the beautiful Christmas picture of the manger scene my daughter and son-in-law bought me last year for Christmas which is perfect!
Here is the whole fireplace decorated with grapevine trees and the old linen stockings I made years ago. We had a wonderful fire Saturday warm and cozy!
Now I am going to make some ornaments for the tree using the red ones that no longer worked for my color scheme. I also had some fruit that I hung on the tree as well, I am going to try and repaint them or something so I can still use them. It's is a rainy and dreary day here today, but at least it isn't cold enough to snow!
