Decorating your fireplace mantle for Spring!

It's a beautiful day today, the sun is shining but it's cold. I am to go to my favorite thrift store to shop for things for my spring mantle. If any of you have a fireplace you know that it is the focal point of your room and it's always fun to dress it up for the seasons. I am looking for a vase to put fresh or dried flowers in and a few candle sticks to put my cream colored candles in that I bought a couple of weeks ago. When you go to thrift stores, second hand shops, etc. there is always a large amount of glassware available. It's the perfect place to find candlesticks, stemware, tableware anything glass and you will have a wide range to choose from. Especially if you are like me and don't like matching sets of anything. I love the put together look of collecting things. It doesn't make any difference what your decorating taste is there is always something to be found to make your fireplace mantle look amazing for the seasons. Here are a few of my favorites that I found to show you until my own gets. If you are lucky enough to have fresh flowers growing in your gardens, pick them and put them in a vase, jar, pail, whatever your style for a fresh addition to your home!

I love this mantel with the tin lantern and wire baskets
