Three little pillows made from a piece of restored treasure!

A few years ago when we were helping my mother-in-law clean out her garage attic we ran across a lot of treasures but the one that really caught my attention was a fabric remnant that looked like it used to be the bottom of a petticoat. It was beautifully done, the lace was handsewn to the material with such tiny stitches it must've taken someone hours and hours to finish! Someone was making something pretty special to put that much work into it. The color was beautifully aged also and when I asked my mother-in-law about it she said it belonged to her mother. She gave me the piece after I told her that I could make something out of it because it was just too beautiful to keep in a drawer. It has been tucked away for a few years now and I decided I would make each of the granddaughters a small pillow cover with it. I got enough to make three pillows and I have a little fabric left over. I will have to figure out what I can do with the piece I have left. I know Vernita's granddaughters will love this little piece of restored treasure that I created out of their great-grandmothers petticoat!
